BLAST Dues and Fees Information and Terms

Dues and Payment Schedules

Dues can be paid according to one of three payment schedules; one annual payment, three payments a year or 12 monthly payments. Families that choose one annual payment receive a 10% savings on their dues and make their payment by Sept 15th. Families choosing the three payments plan receive a 5% savings on their dues and make payments on Setpember 15th, December 1st and March 1st. For those families that choose the 12 monthly payments, these will be electronically debited from your bank account on the 1st of each month. Our 1st payment and a $250.00 family fundraising fee is due by September 15th.

For new swimmers: If you do not choose to continue with the program at the end of the two week trial, you are not obligated to pay anything. If you stay and join the team, your USS membership fee and the first dues payment are due. Your two week trial counts as part of your first monthly fee.

A discount on dues is provided for families with more than one swimmer participating. Families with two swimmers will receive a 10% discount and families with three or more swimmers will receive a 20% discount.

Fundraising

Each family is required to raise $250.00 for the team each year. If you choose the annual dues payment play or the three payments plan, you can enroll in our Scrip, Kroger and Food City fundraisers. If you choose the 12 monthly payments dues plan, you will have to pay the $250.00 family fundraising fee by September 15th. Once the fundraising fee is paid, you may then qualify for our fundraising programs. Families on the monthly dues plan will have until June 1st to earn back the $250.00. Once the $250.00 has been earned by participating in fundraising programs, it will be deducted from your last two months payments.

Fees should be be paid via mail to:

                   PO Box 28
                   Friendsville, TN 37737

** Remember to write in the memo field what the payment is for (dues, fundraising, meets fees, etc).

Non Payment Penalty

Dues not paid by the 15th of the month will be assessed a $15.00 late fee on the next month's invoice. If dues are not paid by the end of the current month, the swimmer will not be allowed to participate in practices or meets until the account is current. Fundraising must be completed by the end of August fr the swimmer to continue participating in BLAST the next year.

Please Note

As long as a swimmer is a member of BLAST, all dues are expected to be paid in full each month. Example: If a swimmer does not use the facility for a month he/she must still pay for the missed month before being allowed back into practice. Swimmers dropping out in mid-year will be assessed a $100 reinstatement fee to participate the next fall.
